On behalf of the race organisers, volunteers and participants we'd like to thank the following sponsors for their continued support of the Canadian Challenge dog race. Please help us in return by visiting and supporting them where you can.
‘The Canadian Challenge follows a route similar to that of the old dog trail used for years by trappers, the North West Mounted Police and the First Nation community. Teams travel from Elk Ridge, up to Grandmothers Bay and back down to La Ronge over the course of roughly four days. In past years, the premier race has attracted teams from across Canada, the United States, Australia, Germany, and Belgium’ PANow.com February 2017
The Canadian Challenge Sled Dog Race is a challenge like no other. It’s the longest sled dog race within Canadian borders. The Canadian Challenge has over 20-years of history and attracts international mushers and dog teams eager to run through the stunning boreal winter scenery and forest in northern Saskatchewan. It’s also recognized as a qualifier for the Yukon Quest and Iditarod races in the past.
Dog teams bark with excitement at the start line in Elk Ridge, eager to start their journey to La Ronge. Spectators gather to watch this free event, TV cameras and press cameras compete for the best view of the teams as they countdown to leave central PA, heading north.
We will keep this historic race going. We will keep celebrating our heritage. We will keep our traditions alive. We will keep inviting international visitors to enjoy our warm Saskatchewan welcome. We will keep supporting our local communities.
We’d love you to join us and become part of the Canadian Challenge Sled Dog experience. As a not for profit organization, we are seeking your help to share some of the costs involved in making this race such a memorable event. We have no fixed funding and we seek private sponsors each year. In addition, the Board and volunteers undertake fund raising activities throughout the summer months too. We have a range of sponsorship packages which we’d ask you to consider, with the benefits listed below.
We already have teams registered. Please help us to make the next Canadian Challenge Sled Dog Race our best yet. Thank you for your support, and we look forward to hearing from you.
Whatever the level you can commit to, we hope to count you among the individuals and businesses who help make this international race possible.
